Introducting...

What can we deliver ?

Each modular unit produces electrical power and heat, available for export to the grid, on-site power, space heating, process hot water/steam or chilling/cooling via absorption chillers.

Typically, a 1MWe unit will utilise about 1 tonne/hr of biomass fuel. A modest fuel store is required in order to store sufficient material to run the plant, normally allowing for 2 or 3 days requirement.

The gas engines can be upgraded to "dual fuel" engines if required. This means that syngas can be switched to natural gas, if required. Where power generation is absolutely critical, this can be a useful back-up.

The only bi-products are a small volume of dirty water, from the gas clean-up unit, and an amount of bio-char (charcoal) which has a positive market value, for example as a soil conditioner.

Technology advances

Clean and convenient

By converting waste-derived (RDF) or biomass feedstock into a clean, high energy synthesis gas (Syngas), these modular units can generate power from 100kW up to 4MWe each.

The hydrogen-rich syngas burns extremely cleanly, and can be fed directly into a standard gas engine to generate both electricity and heat/cooling.

These systems can handle wet or dry feedstock, even capable of converting sewage sludge to power !

The clever, modular design reduces the scale and complexity of the plant.......and the capital cost !

Built and tested at the factory, these units can be shipped and assembled in a matter of days.

Small-scale biomass or "waste to energy" projects have traditionally seemed too large, complex or dirty to be considered suitable for siting on the client's site, especially where the core business is not in the waste or environmental sector.

Tigre works with a team of specialists and the technology provider to deliver a neat, packaged CHP plant which would not look out of place on any modern business park and can be tailored to suit the client's needs and preferences.

There are no pressure vessels, chimney stacks or unsightly tangles of pipework to consider, and the units can be placed adjacent to buildings in their own containerised housings, or located in purpose built facilities, as required.
